ACTIVITIES FOR  YOUNG PEOPLE - SUMMER 2008

We have planned some activities for young people aged 10 -16 years on Friday evenings across the summer. We hope this will be the beginning of some wider provision for the young people of Claines church.

Summer Programme

Friday  July 18th     - Evening hike and picnic up the Malverns

Meet at British Camp Car Park at 7.00pm.

Hike followed by soup and sausages – finish by 9.30pm.

Transport by arrangement amongst  group - see Olwen

Cost - £1 plus contribution to transport

Friday August 1st   - Swimming at Forest Glades, Kidderminster

Meet at Leisure Centre at 6.30pm (Pool closes at 8.00pm)

Transport by agreement amongst group.

Cost - Swim for under 15’s - £2.55 each, adults - 3.55each

Friday August 15th  - Pizza and Games at the Church Institute

7.00pm – 8.30pm. Make your own pizzas and have fun.

Cost - £1

Friday August 29th   - Bowling at Xtreme Bowl, Droitwich Road (behind Cannons)

Meet at 7.00pm. Lanes booked for 7.30pm.

Cost - £4.75 per game. Meals and drinks available

FUTURE EVENTS 2008-2009

CAR TREASURE HUNT – Friday 19th September starting at the Institute and ending “who knows where?”  It wont be too much driving considering the price of petrol!!!!

More details to follow.

HARVEST – Bring and Share Lunch after the 11am service on Sunday 5th October at the Church Hall.  Probably starts about 1pm.  The last time we did this it was a great success.  Again more details to follow nearer the time but get that date on those calendars.

CHRISTMAS COFFEE MORNING [Can we really be mentioning Christmas!] 6th December 2008 at the Church Hall.

FISH AND CHIP QUIZ NIGHT – an annual event.  24th January 2009

PROMISES AUCTION is booked for Saturday 14th March 2009, at the Church Hall.  Not to be missed this one.  Bargains galore – but you will have to bid for them.

SUMMER FETE IN THE CHURCHYARD – tentatively booked for Saturday 27th June 2009.
